how to display my buttons - Craft Fair Countdown 10 day to go

so preparations are continuing, have been furiously making small purses in all different hand block printed cotton

my sewing room is getting messier and messier

one problem I faced was how to display my vintage buttons without spending lots of money on small jars or bags, how could I make sure people could see the variety and quality quite easily... well I pondered and I sat at my desk

I pondered and stared at the buttons...

I stared some more and puzzled

then I decided to go and clear out a cupboard of stationary and found a pack of blank postcards I had purchased a few years ago to make valentines cards....

EUREKA

I would sew the buttons onto the postcards, this would show them all off, allow me to group them together in sets and make them easy to handle and sort through for customers on the stall...

now all we need to do if see how it goes down on the day, if they do not sell it is back to the drawing board (staring at the buttons and sighing)

Craft Fair Countdown 15 days to go... tips needed

Well I have bitten the bullet and signed myself up for a small craft/vintage fair on the 6th Aug in North London and so am now on a mission to get lots of items made so that I can create a lovely little stand and fingers crossed sell sell sell...

Last night I spent the evening printing up all my price labels with my 'Stitch your Soul' stamp (got very inky) and then block printing some more calico with some new colours to make a load more change purses for the stall.

I am making lists and checking them twice, does anyone have any tips for running a stall at a small event? Anything that you have encountered or problems I might face?? I was a girl guide and so the motto of BE PREPARED is ringing in my ears :)

A week in Nerja

Just had a lovely week in Nerja in southern Spain with my family, the first time I have been away with them in probably 20 years! I was looking forward to spending lots of time with my nephew as they live 300miles from me and so I cannot see him as often as I would like

Now I am back am ready to hit the machine and get some sewing done, it is sunny and warm in London so will have all the windows open and the breeze coming through and wishing that I was back on the beach...
what can i dip my bread in next bring on the tapas
