WIN WIN WIN - Blog Giveaway

hello to everyone who entered, great response and so lovely to hear from you all :) I am going to post the winner tomorrow AM, sorry for the delay have been extra busy this week at my day job :( will be catching up with myself tomorrow and posting lots of nice new things including my JUNE Giveaway!!!

welcome to my May giveaway

First part of the prize is lots of lovely material:
  • 6 fat quarters of hand dyed cottons all cold water resist dyed by myself
  • 5 fat quarters of some fab spotty cottons
  • hand dyed blue cotton with block printed butterflies and hearts in blue and metallic green
6 fat quarters of hand dyed cotton

5 fat quarters of spotty cotton

hand dyed then block printed approx 30" x 18"


Second part of the prize, BUTTONS of course:

  • Some of my stash of vintage buttons, plastic, glass, mother of pearl, a real selection from my jars of pale buttons

approx 200g vintage buttons


And last but in no way least 9 x 12" butterfly patchwork blocks:
  • I will make up for the winner 9 butterfly blocks in the colours of their choosing they can be used for individual projects or to make a quilt top

    I love love love your butterflys. Such a great pattern that could easily done with scraps, which I love. So even if I don't win they are going in my must do file. As for colors I would pick if I did win...rainbow colors. pink red orange yellow green auqa blue purple and a surprise one, all with black centers. They would be perfect for a top for my local charity bee. Thank you for the chance :) oh btw I love the vintage buttons too

    I'd love pink and/or purple butterflies. My sister's having twins next month (a girl and a boy), and her nursery theme is, A Bug and A Butterfly. I've been looking for something to make for their arrival, and I think these would make a perfect little quilt. Great Giveaway!!! :)

    I'm so glad that I discovered your blog, adn I'm going to go into the archives to read more.
    Your hand dyes are to "die for"--how often have you heard that terrible cliche? :). On my list is to learn to dye my own fabric, but it's a long list.
    I'd love to make a butterfly quilt with your beautifully made blocks-I would put it in my living room. My color choice would be blues of any kind. Blues often call out for a warm color and my choice is always some kind of red, from muted and soft to bright red/orange. Your butterflies have a lovely antique shape combined with modern fabrics.
    Buttons are such fun; maybe you will combine buttons and butterflies?
