Giveaway Winner

First of all a massive thankyou to everyone who has participated in my giveaway all the wonderful comments and considered answers to my question :)

323 entries just blew me away! I asked a question that I do not really know the answer to in the hopes that I could crowdsource an answer.. it is something I have pondered many times and now I know that all your great answers have resulted in...

So it seems that the crowdsourced answer is DOG, although yes, it would depend on the type of dog, the distance the race was over and countless other variables, one day soon I hope that I can put this to the test ;)

So I have randomly picked a winner

and so the winner is.... comment 303

Starry eyed surprise

Congratulations

Thanks again to everyone for entering and if you would like another chance to win then enter my other giveaway open until the 31st May

thai tree cushion

while visiting the grand palace in Bangkok last year I was taken by the formal gardens being tended with some very old fashioned clippers.....

these trees were fantastic, a lot of work but looked amazing

so from this inspiration came...
I used a great work shirt 'donated' by my housemate to make the foliage and back of the cushion with a nice white quilting cotton with blue thread to sew the tree trunk
pics below of the making process, going to make some more with different shirts... just got to pic the next colour

Managed to finish this cot quilt over Easter weekend, had a lovely time sitting in the sun hand sewing the binding down, I do prefer the look of the hand sewn binding but as it takes so much longer I rarely do it... unless the sun is shining and I have somewhere to sit and stitch...

This butterfly quilt was so much fun to make...

I brill idea picked up from a quilt show, a really quick way of producing a lovely butterfly with minimal cutting, well until you decide to make a charm border in 2" squares.... that soon put pay to my quick n easy quilt, especially then when I decided to freehand quilt in such a tight pattern.

Already started the next one, will post up pics soon.
