Sunday Sewing - Kindle Covers


ahhh another lovely Sunday nearly over and another pile of block printed material generated...

have been making kindle covers today using the printed calico, bond-a-web, wadding and the lining cotton from the collection of brights I have on the shelf









 my collection of whittled blocks has increased somewhat will have to find a larger box to keep them in...




whoop first one done, pink spotty with turquoise bright lining



the next 6 on the way :)

Tuesday Night Block Party

great way of using up and polystyrene packaging you have.. just use a craft knife and a ruler, i cut the round ones by drawing round a tea light and a wine bottle screw top lid!

hmmm too plain
ERGGGG hated this
mm slightly better, still not my fav
That is better, lay the zipper I am going to use on top to fill the space which will be the front of a makeup bag

Sunday Sewing - block printed makeup bags

aahhhh another Sunday nearly done, the rain has been falling over London all day, and apart from a quick trip to the supermarket I have managed to fit in lots of stitching

started with some block printing, used some polystyrene packaging to cut some triangles for some printing

placing the zip on the material so i can place the blocks

 choosing the linings, liked these brights that I have had on a shelf for about a year...

at the end of the day I have....

received a delightful parcel from Perth, Australia last week from the lovely and talented Merryl who has made these wonderful earrings using drinks cans she has picked up from her local beach

MAY GIVEAWAY WINNER

Thanks so much to everyone who entered I love reading all your comments and the suggestions for colours, I will be trying some multicoloured versions as some of you were liking brights... food for thought

So the winner is... randomly generated entry 90... MiniMNM who requested purple wings (a very popular choice), I will be starting the wings this weekend and so will post the progress.
